Bora Bora

Once the “Pearl of the Pacific” Bora Bora is an island just a few kilometers from Tahiti. Made solely of volcanic rock, Bora Bora was once home to one of the American bases for World War II. Its clear aqua seas make up most of your days adventures. The island is nearly a 20-mile bike ride. Its lagoon allows for numerous under or even above water voyages. Some of which include scuba diving, snorkeling, aqua safaris, jetskiing, parasailing and more. Its over water bungalows are positioned on stilts over the lagoon. Most have sundecks making it easy to wake up in the morning and dive right into the water. Not only do you get a clear view of the lagoon on the outside deck, the glass flooring in each villa enables you to get a clear view of the marine life right beneath your feet! Imagine laying back on a hammock and feeling nothing but the Pacific’s breeze…now that’s a vacation!

Bali, Indonesia

Though one can wrap around its coast in one day, do not be intimidated by the size of this wonderful island. Bali is beaming with life, culture, and decadence! Its everyday society possesses a sense of inner happiness that can easily attract any harmonic goer. Bali’s main craze is that of its ancient temples, rice fields, exotic people, colorful landscape, and ofcourse its strong Hindu faith. Kuta has one of the liveliest nightlife’s. Some of its discos are open till almost dawn! However, in order to attend and view a more traditional dance, village temple festivals are hosted almost daily around the island. Not a dancer, no problem! Some of Bali’s parks offer the very renowned elephant safaris. The park of Desa Taro offers its visitors a chance to get up close and personal with Bali gentle giants and take sightseeing expeditions on the backs of the peaceful creatures! Can you imagine?  Or picture a temple situated at the top of a plateau 250 feet above the waves of the Indian Ocean. The Uluwatu Temple is dedicated to the spirits of the seas and is known for its amazing sunset.

Kenya, Africa

As most may conclude, Africa is not the imaginable, very familiar “circle of life” or “hakuna matata” as the Lion King suggests. Kenya, surrounding Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda is a gorgeous country composed of canyons, wildlife, white-sand beaches and Lake Victoria (the largest lake in African that later pours into the Nile River). Wildlife safaris rank one of the most popular things to do while visiting. Known grounds such as Tsavo National Park sponsor tours around its plains to see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopard’s etcetera.  Although its urban appeal may give off a case of culture shock, the country burst with diversity. For example on a typical day, you can see a range of people who dress in the average Western-style clothing. However, many still choose to wear what’s known as a kanga, which is a large piece of cloth that is wrapped around the body as a skirt or shawl with a headscarf. Kenya I’d say would simply be an intense exploration or both culture and beauty.

Milan, Italy

A fashionista’s dream of course, Milan! Known primly for its rich, brand name designer’s such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Armani, Gucci, Prada, the works. Its Quadrilatero d’Oro is a strip that will leave any shopaholic in awe. Milan’s streets are shattered with different shops that all hold the latest trends, fads, and labels. Not only are the design originals located on every street corner; outlets and sample sale stores in Milan are notorious for its “knock-off” items and prices. A party within itself, the city’s contemporary art, theatre scene, nightclubs, and late night happy hour make Milan an entertaining adventure. Avid soccer fans also flee to Milan to check out its celebrated soccer teams, AC Milan and Inter Milan. It is simply a city packed with culture and enthusiasm.

Cusco, Peru

This is a picture of Machu Picchu in Cusco, Peru. Cusco was the capital of the Inca Empire. It is enclosed by mountains and large valleys. Although its weather is mostly rainy its greenery is absolutely breathtaking. Cuscos cathedral is one of the most beautiful and fascinating cathedrals in the world. Back in 1534, when the Spaniards conquered the city, they tore down the Inca's temples and with the stones built their churches. Although at first builders attempted an alter made of solid gold, a lack of the precious metal did not allow for completion. Today, the cathedrals alter is made of silver with remains of the original gold plating. On the cathedrals sides there are two smaller churches known as, El Triunfo and Iglesia Jesus y Maria. Throughout the churches are large paintings of the School of Cusco but its infamous painting is that of Marcos Zapata depicting the Last Supper. The main bell of the cathedral is over 300 years old and made of a ton of gold, silver and bronze. Pretty neat huh?
